Vice President of the Ghana Football Association George Afriyie has revealed the international friendlies against the United States and Mexico are not  must win games for the Black Stars despite it being a measure for the FIFA Coca-Cola rankings.

Ghana will play Mexico tonight in Houston at the NRG Park before taking on the Yankees of America on July 1st.

The two games that are of huge importance to coach Kwesi Appiah as he continues with his rebuilding process will also serve as preparatory games ahead of the World Cup qualifiers.

However management committee chairman of the Black Stars, George Afriyie has indicated the team is not bent on winning the game even though it will come as a plus.

"In every football game you want to win but the purpose is not too much of win, win, win," says Afriyie at the Black Stars base.

"Yes of course we'd want to win because in these friendlies, the Coca Cola points are at stake, so you need to take advantage of them, so the win is yes."

Coach Kwesi Appiah is looking at building on the good result he had in his first game since he was reappointed the coach of the Black Stars.

Ghana will play Mexico 1:06 pm local time.
