Ghana captain Andre Ayew has scooped the award for the goal of the month for January in the French Ligue 1.

Ayew scored a spectacular bicycle kick on his return to club football when Le Havre held Lorient to the 3-3 draw in the Ligue 1 last month.

Following a disappointing Africa Cup of Nations with the Black Stars, the experience Ghana attacker scored a brace to secure a point for his outfit in the crucial encounter at the end of January.

The Black Stars skipper made substitute appearances in the thrilling encounter at the Stade du Moustoir - Yves Allainmat.

The former Swansea and Nottingham Forest star was introduced in the 70th minute mark and made a good account of himself by scoring twice in the dyeing embers of the game to earn a point for Le Havre.

The visitors opened the scoring after just 15 minutes into the game through Emmanuel Sabbi, who scored from the spot before Imran Louz leveled pegging for Lorient. Both teams went to recess with a goal apiece.

Lorient doubled their advantage in the second half through Ayman Kari after hitting the back of the net in the 51st minute mark before André Ayew restored parity in the 85th minute for his side.

The host appears to have snatch victory after Mohamed Bamba found the back of the net in the 92nd minute but the Ghana international stepped up once again to level pegging in the 94th minute to snatch a draw for the visitors.
