Ghana center-back Emmanuel Ntim to be sidelined for two weeks with knee sprain

Ghana defender Emmanuel Ntim will be out for two weeks after suffering an injury in Caen’s game against Saint-Ettienne.

But he has already been out for a week, it means he will be back in a week training.

The 27-year-old center back was taken off after 44 minutes with a knee sprain on Saturday, September 16 and was replaced by Alexandre Coeff.

It is reported in the French media that Emmanuel Ntim will be out for at least two weeks with the injury.

In the game, his side Caen lost 2-1 at the Stade Michel d’Ornano in round six of the French Ligue 2.

Florian Tardieu gave Saint-Etienne the lead after 30 minutes into the game through a penalty he converted.

The visitors doubled their lead in with two minutes of regular time remaining through Ibrahim Sissoko with an assist from French-born Ghanaian Dennis Appiah.

There was still time for the home side to pull one back in the third minute of added time. Alexandre Mendy scored the consolation for Caen with an assist from Coeff.
