Ghana coach CK Akonnor names EIGHT home-based players in Black Stars squad for upcoming friendlies

The head coach for the Black Stars, CK Akonnor has named eight home-based players in his 30-man squad for the upcoming friendly matches next month.

Ghana originally was scheduled to begin its qualifying journey for the 2020 FIFA World Cup next month.

However, after a postponement for the start of the qualifies by CAF, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has decided to use the period to play friendly matches.

As reported by your most trusted online portal earlier today, the Black Stars will be up against their Morocco and Ivory Coast counterparts in June for two huge friendly matches.

Naming his squad for the matches today, Ghana head coach CK Akonnor has included eight home-based players.

Goalkeepers Razak Abalora and Danlad Ibrahim make the squad as well as Great Olympics star Gladson Awako and fast-rising talent Issahaku Abdul Fatawu.
