Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac aiming for good preparation ahead of AFCON

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has set sights on good preparations ahead of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.

Black Stars will take on African Champions Algeria in a pre-Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) friendly today at the Education City stadium in Doha, Qatar.

The two African giants will test their strength against each other in preparation for the 2021 AFCON which kicks off in Cameroon on Sunday, January 9, 2022.

The Black Stars have been camping in Qatar ahead of the tournament and will wrap preparations with this crucial friendly.

Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey, Crystal Palace forward Jordan Ayew, and Leicester defender Daniel Amartey will join Black Stars camp today.

The trio together with Baba Rahman, Andy Yiadom, Jojo Wallocot as well as Andre Ayew were expected to join their teammates in Qatar on January 3, 2022, after CAF extended their stay at their respective clubs.

Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac named a 30-man provisional list to prepare for the 2021 AFCON and have pruned down the squad to 28 for the tournament with AS Roma youngster Felix Afena Gyan and Clermont Foot midfielder Salis Abdul Samed missing out.

The Black Stars Ghana will open their campaign against Morocco on Monday, January 10, 2022, before taking on Gabon and Comoros in Group C.
