Ghana coach Otto Addo has hailed the Black Stars positive spirit after coming from behind to beat Central Africa Republic in the 2026 World Cup qualifying game on Monday.

The Black Stars cruised to a 4-3 win over the Wild Beats at the Baba Yara Stadium to move summit on the standings in Group I.

Jordan Ayew emerged as the hero for the Black Stars after netting a hat-trick to propel the team to victory. It was his second hat-trick for the national team since making his debut.

Speaking after the game, Otto Addo commended the teams’ positive spirit after comeback victory in games against Mali and Central Africa Republic.

“For me, the positives stands over the negatives and how we came back in the second half and how Jordan scored. What we have to mention is the positive spirit. Despite being behind away in Mali and here again to comeback. Even though we were behind, the fans in Kumasi were supporting us. Thanks to the team for having this mentality to comeback after going down” he said.

Ghana are now top of the Group I table with 9 points after three victories and one loss in the ongoing FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
