Ghana defender Andy Yiadom set to reject contract extension

Ghana defender Andy Yiadom will reject a contract extension following Barnsley reluctance to let the player leave.

The right back was voted player of the season at the club and has become a subject of interest from several clubs.

The defender has received offers from several clubs including newly promoted side Huddlesfield, who tabled 750, 000 pounds which has been rejected by the championship side.

Meanwhile, English top flight sides Newcastle United and Swansea are still lurking around for the signature of the player.

Barnsley manager Paul Heckingbottam described Huddlesfied fee as disrespectful as the club was 2 million pounds for the defender.

Reports indicate the 25-year-old could reject a new offer from his Club who are willing to tie him down to ward-off interest from Clubs.

Andy Yiadom was part the Black Stars squad that placed fourth at the Africa Cup of nations in 2017, Gabon.
