Ghana defender Rashid Sumaila to join Wolves in January

Ghanaian defender Rashid Sumaila is on the verge of joining English side Wolverhampton Wanderers from Kuwaiti side Al Qadsiya.

The former Kumasi Asante Kotoko has been on the radar of the SkyBet Championship side for some time now but a move to England in the summer failed due to paper work.

Meanwhile, the English side have continued with their pursuit of the stalwart defender.

Rashid Sumaila has been a force to reckon with in the gulf region, following his tremendous form for Club side Al Qadsiya. Last season he was on loan at United Arab Emirates side Al Ghanara where he made headlines with several club chasing his signature.

Sumaila’s form improved this season and has been in the Kuwaiti team of the week since the commencement of the league.

The 24 year old played for Ebusua Dwarfs and Kotoko before leaving for South Africa to play for African giants Mamelodi Sundowns.
