Ghana forward Andre Ayew scores for Al-Sadd SC in narrow defeat to Qatar SC

Ghana international, Andre Ayew was in action for his Al-Sadd SC side on Friday evening when the team suffered a defeat in the Qatari Stars League.

The Black Stars captain started for his team in the away match against Qatar SC serving as a matchday five [outstanding game] encounter of the 2022/23 league season.

Just ten minutes into the first half, Andre Ayew was presented with a very good chance and made no mistake. The forward picked his spot and scored with a fine strike to give his team the lead.

Five minutes later it was the turn of Rodrigo Tabata as he also equalized to double the lead for Al Sadd SC before the first-half break.

Despite the comfortable lead, the visitors failed to kill off the game in the second half and had to pay for it dearly. Qatar SC displayed outstanding character in the second half and scored three times to come from two goals down to record a 3-2 victory at the end of the contest.

With his goal today, Andre Ayew now has two goals and one assist this season after making seven appearances for Al Sadd SC in the Qatari Stars League.
