Ghana forward Ranford Yeboah Königsdörffer’s position under threat as Hamburger SV sign Levin Öztunali

Ghana international Ranford Yeboah Königsdörffer’s spot in the Hamburger SV team is under threat after the club signed German Levin Öztunali.

The Black Stars attacker who had limited game time in the just-ended Bundesliga II campaign faces a stern competition from Öztunali, who has secured a three-year deal with the club.

Yeboah did not make more than 16 appearances in the starting lineup last season, however, the arrival of the former Union Berlin player has worsened the situation for the Ghanaian attacker.

Despite the arrival of the Union Berlin player, Footballghana.com has learnt Hamburg do not expect the Ghanaian forward to depart in the ongoing transfer window.

The 21-year-old was part of the Black Stars squad that played against Madagascar in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers last month.

Yeboah did not feature in the penultimate qualifier despite earning a call up for the clash.
