Ghana and Inter Milan Kwadwo Asamoah has been ruled of his side's clash against Chievo due to suspension.

The 30-year-old midfielder was shown his fifth yellow card of the season against his former club Udinese, ruling him out of Inter's final game of the year.

This means he is set for an early Christmas break and is expected to come back stronger when the Serie A resumes in January 2019.

The former Liberty Professional lad has featured in 20 games so far this season for Inter, 14 of them in the Serie A and has scored once for the side.

The Nerazzurri are currently third on the Serie A table after 16 round of matches.

Asamoah will return to the squad for the game against Napoli at the San Siro next Wednesday.

He joined the Inter Milan on a four-year deal from Italian champions Juventus in the summer and has become a key contributor for coach Luciano Spalleti's side.
