Ghana international Michael Essien congratulates former side after Manchester United win

Former Chelsea midfield dynamo Michael Essien has congratulated the Blues for their emphatic 4-0 win over old rivals Manchester United at the Stamford Bridge.

The Blues who came into the game with two consecutive wins under their new tactical style of a 3-4-3 formation, got off to a good start after Pedro fetched the opening goal under 30 seconds.

The former European Champions went on to win the game and hand former coach Jose Mourinho his heaviest Premier League defeat thanks to goals from Cahil, Harzard and Kante.

Essien who played 168 games for Chelsea and scored 25 goals from 2005 to 2014 took to twitter to appreciate his former team.
