National teams of the countries on the continent started their various qualification campaign to the next Africa Cup of National tournament late last year.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the group stage of the qualifies to CAF’s flagship tournament could not continue in March as planned.

After 5 months, CAF has made plans for the return of international football in line with the international break in FIFA’s calendar.

With one of such breaks set to come next month, Africa countries playing in the qualifiers will look to resume action with some friendly matches before going into AFCON games in November.

As reported by footballghana.com earlier this week, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is set to agree to friendly games for the Black Stars with their counterparts from Algeria and Mali.

Next month, Cameroon is expected to stage a friendly in the Netherlands as well. On the other hand, Guinea will head to Portugal while the Ivory Coast, Nigeria as well as Tunisia move to Austria for possible friendly matches.

FIFA’s next international break will be available from October 5-13.
