Ghana Premier League has been very competitive this season – Bibiani Goldstars coach Michael Osei

Bibiani Gold Stars coach Michael Osei believes the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season has been very competitive.

With two games to end the season, Medeama are currently leading the table with 56 points after 32 matches, followed by Aduana Stars who are four points behind them.

Bechem united and Asante Kotoko are third and fourth on the table with 51 and 48 points respectively, while Bibiani Goldstars occupy the fifth position with 48 points.

In an interview with Koforidua-based Bryt FM, the former Star Madrid coach hailed the competitiveness of the league whiles eyeing a strong finish with his outfit.

“We’ve been able to improve this season. When you compare our performance last season to the current season, you could see we have been able to progress, in fact, we have improved a lot. With few games to end the season, we have the opportunity to win most of the points.

“We need to be discipline, tactical and go extra-mile to end the season well. The season has been very competitive and considering the points gap you don’t have to just drop points” he said.

Gold Stars are away to Karela for their next match and will climax the season at Dun’s Park where they will host Accra Lions.
