Asante Kotoko had to settle for a goalless draw in their regional derby clash with AshantiGold on matchday 10 of the Ghana Premier League.
The encounter turned out to be an aggressive one in the first half with both teams going at it in challenges. A few yellow cards were shown and the two outfits created some chances but it was still goalless at the half time whistle.
The second half was more of the same. Kotoko did however come close to scoring in the 59th minute. Opoku Mensah had only the goalkeeper to beat but failed to make his opportunity count. The two teams went at it but the goals proved difficult to come by at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Porcupine Warriors are undefeated at home in the league against AshantiGold in their last six meetings.
