Ghana Premier League Matchday 9 report: Inter Allies held to 1-1 draw by Legon Cities

The Eleven is to one boys initially went ahead but a penalty from Legon Cities in the second half ensured that the two teams left the pitch with a point apiece.

Inter Allies started brightly and got the opener inside 15 minutes. Desmond Abuga was tripped in the box and the referee pointed to the spot.

Victorien Adebayor stepped up against goalkeeper Fatau Dauda and easily converted, registering his 8th goal of the campaign.

The Niger import got another chance to increase his tally just before half time but he placed his shot agonizingly wide.

Legon Cities showed some penetration in the final half and had an opportunity in the 69th minute after Cephas Doku was brought down by the Inter Allies goalkeeper in the penalty box.

Abdul Karim Jabila took the resulting spot kick one minute later and found the net, bringing the game level. There was effort from both teams but none were able to grab another goal.

Legon Cities are 12th on the log with 10 points and Inter Allies are in 9th place with 11 points.
