Ghana set to take on Algeria in a friendly in October

Ghana is pitted in Group C of the qualifiers to the next Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) which is scheduled to be staged in Cameroon next year.

Ahead of the resumption of the qualifying games which had to be suspended as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Ghana Football Association (GFA) is making arrangements for the Black Stars to play a friendly match.

According to information picked up from Accra-based Angel FM, Ghana and Algeria have agreed to stage a friendly game in October before going into the respective AFCON qualifying games.

It is understood that the encounter will be staged in Turkey and a date will be decided before the close of September.
