Ghana U-17 to camp in Denmark ahead of World Cup

The national under-17 team, the Black Starlets will camp in Denmark ahead of the FIFA U-17 world cup in India, Vice chairman Abdul Salam Yakubu says.

Ghana, two times champions are returning to the global showpiece after a decade of absence and are poised on winning a third trophy.

But, they will have to over to overcome host India, South Americans Colombia and the United States.

Meanwhile, vice chairman of the management team of the Black Starlets Abdul Salam Yakubu revealed the team will be embarking on a trip to Denmark to continue preparations as they engage in a mini tournament.

“The team will be travelling to Denmark to compete in a mini tournament before the competition starts in India,” Yakubu told footballmadeinghana.com

“We are looking forward for support from the Ministry Of Youth and Sports to help us prepare well. We shall surely qualify from our group.”

Ghana placed second at the Africa Junior Championship following an amazing run in the tournament where they defeated the likes of Cameroon and host Gabon.
