Ghana will beat Gabon in African U-23 Championship -Coach Micheal Osei

Assistant coach of Ghana U-23 national team, coach Micheal Osei is confident his outfit are poised to beat Gabon to qualify to 2019 African U-23 Championship in Egypt.

The former Kotoko gaffer believes this is the only ticket left to cement a place to the championship having failed to qualify since it inception in 2011. The must-win will have the technical staff of the team, give an invite to the foreign-based player to support the team.

"The preparation has been good so far and the players are responding well so we are making things possible to qualify"Our main aim is to qualify and the game againstGabon is our last hurdle to see our qualification so we will do all we can to qualify".

"We are working hard to get some videos of their games because we need to know their strength and weaknesses", Osei told Kumasi based radio station Ashh FM in an interview.

He added that; "It will be a FIFA week so we will get some foreign-based players to beef our squad for the game".

The players are really poised and ready for the game against Gabon looking at their training".

The Meteors will play their West African neighbours at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 23, 2019, after beating Togo 5-2 on aggregate despite losing 1-0 in Lome.
