Ghana defender Lawrence Lartey has joined Tunisian outfit Club African after leaving South African side Ajax Cape Town.

The former Ashantigold player spent two successful seasons in South Africa after leaving the miners, having led them to Ghana Premier League glory.

The 23 year old signed a three-year contract with Club Africain on Tuesday and has been given the number 36 shirt.

The former Ghana Premier League winner joined the Tunisia outfit as a free agent after failing to reach an agreement Ajax Cape Town for an extension.

Lartey was captain of the Under-20 team that represented Ghana at the FIFA world Cup in 2013 and was also part of the Black Meteors team in 2015 at the All Africa Games.

The huge defender has been capped once for the national team and looks set for a call up after securing the deal.
