Ghanaian attacker Brandon Thomas-Asante nets late goal to earn a point for West Brom in England

England-born attacker of Ghanaian descent, Thomas-Asante Brandon heroically climbed off the bench to score for West Bromwich Albion on Friday night.

The English Championship club today hosted Burnley in a matchday 8 encounter of the ongoing 2022/23 Championship season.

Although Thomas-Asante Brandon  was named in the matchday squad of West Bromwich Albion, the player missed out on a starting role.

Thirty minutes into the first half, Burnley was awarded a penalty kick. Experienced attacker Jay Rodriguez accepted the responsibility from 12 yards and made no mistake as he scored to give the visitors the lead.

In the second half when things went tough for West Bromwich Albion, Ghanaian teenager Thomas-Asante Brandon was introduced into the game to add to the firepower of the team.

Eight minutes into injury time, the attacker scored in dramatic fashion to secured a 1-1 draw for his team.

With the player’s debut going very well, he is now set to earn more playing time in upcoming games.
