One of Ghana's richest men Bernard Antwi Boasiako, who is a gold mine guru, radio station owner and a top politician has submitted a mouthwatering $3.1 billion bid to buy English giants Chelsea and has decided to sign world-class players of Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
The Ashanti Regional NPP chairman on Tuesday expressed interest in acquiring Chelsea Football Club and was ready to cough out three billion euros to meet the asking price of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.
Boasiako told Ghana's Wontumi FM radio station: "I want to go and buy Chelsea Football Club. I am interested in it.
"Those who buy clubs are not footballers, but business people.
"I am also a businessman. I'm into gold mining. Why can't we buy the club?
"I want to join the bidding.
"If I become the owner, I want the Brazilian player at Real Madrid, Vinicius Jr - and to sell off Romelu Lukaku.
"I will speak with Manchester United to see if I can also buy Cristiano Ronaldo for Chelsea.
"I'd also look at signing Lionel Messi.
"Roman Abramovich has done his best. It is now time for him to support a Ghanaian or an African to buy Chelsea."
Roman Abramovich announced his decision to sell the club following the wake of the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
The Russian billionaire is said to have close ties with President Vladimir Putin, whose invasion of Ukraine has led to several deaths and injuries.
Mr., Boasiako who is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to secure the Premier League has officially submitted a $3.1 billion to buy the club.
“I am informed of the intention by the owner of your reputable club, Mr. Roman Abramovich, to put up Chelsea Football Club for sale. I am by this letter writing to officially declare my intention for the purchase of same”
“My official bid is in the range of three point One Billion Dollars ($3.1B).
“My legal Team and Transactional Advisors are ready to engage in negotiations”
Sharing how Chelsea could line up if he is able to purchase the club, he disclosed he will snap up Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United, Lionel Messi from Paris Saint Germain and Vinicius Jnr of Real Madrid to bolster the attack and get rid of expensive signing Romelu Lukaku.
