Ghanaian youngster Kevin Danso made his debut for Southampton as they defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 in the English Premier League on Saturday.
Southampton recorded a convincing away win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the American Express Stadium.
Danso was handed a starting berth by manager Ralph Hasenhüttl for the first time since joining the Saints on a season-long loan deal from Augsburg this summer.
Second-half substitute Moussa Djenepo, who made his debut for the club against Liverpool last weekend, cut in from the left to bury the ball into the top-right corner from the edge of the box in the 55th minute of the game.
Nathan Redmond tapped home a cross from Sofiane Boufal to seal the points in injury-time.
The 20-year-old Ghanaian lasted the entire duration of the game.
He was eligible to represent Ghana, England and Austria but he opted to represent Austria where he has made six appearances.
