Ghanaian midfielder Augustine Boakye has reacted to his Wolfsberger AC outfit season opener victory against BW Linz in the Austrian Bundesliga.

The former WAFA star made substitute appearance when his outfit inflicted a 2-1 win over their opponent on Saturday.

Boakye was introduced four minutes to full time and had little to prove despite his side win.

“First 3pts of the season ⚽#Alhamdulillah” He tweeted.

Wolfsberger opened the scoring at their own backyard after just four minutes into the game through Thierno Ballo as they went to recess with a one goal advantage.

After the break, Thierno Ballo scored again to extend his outfit lead in the thrilling encounter at the Lavanttal Arena.

Austrian international Simon Pirkl pulled one back for the visitors as the game ended 2-1 in favour of Wolfsberger.
