English-born Ghanaian midfielder Keenan Appiah-Forson scored in Dagenham & Redbridge's 4-1 victory against Eastleigh on Boxing Day in the National League.

Appiah-Forson came on in the 64th minute to replace Freddie Sears at the Chigwell Construction Stadium.

Maguire's free kick from right outside the box went just over the bar, giving the Spitfires their first meaningful opportunity of the game.

Seven minutes before halftime, Inih Effiong got the ball on the left side and curled a stunning shot into the top corner to give the Daggers the lead.

However, Nwabuokei ran down the right-hand side and the ball into the area was headed home by Barlow who was unmarked within the six-yard box to level the scores only two minutes into the second half.

Keenan Appiah-Forson, who came off the bench, would score his first goal for the Daggers halfway through the second period. He hit a beautiful effort from around 25 yards out that dropped over the keeper and smashed in off the post to restore the Daggers' advantage.

After Inih Effiong's wonderful touch and finish was stopped from close range, Tom Eastman would turn in to make it 3-1 to the home side.

With remarkable confidence, Inih Effiong doubled his total for the afternoon, sending the ball past the goalkeeper and into the bottom corner to give the Daggers an incredible 4-1 advantage.

The Daggers will play Eastleigh away on January 1st, 2024.
