Former AC Milan midfielder Sulley Muntari has given positive reviews of his time at Al-Ittihad.

The 36-year-old joined the club in 2015 for a short spell after playing for a number of top European clubs.

"It was a great experience to play in the Gulf region, especially with the Jeddah Club, it was a great team and its fans were distinguished and the Saudi people as a whole," he stated happily.

He added: "All my memories with the Saudi Federation are beautiful, especially with the federation fans, and with regard to what happened later with the management of the federation, the matter did not change my view on the experience in general, because I consider problems that sometimes occur, and this is part of the player's career"

He also stated that he is yet to retire from the sport.

"I have not retired from football completely until now. I played today a friendly match in Dubai with former players. Indeed, Luis Figo asked to be part of his team here, in order to guarantee victory."

Sulley is currently without a club.
