Ghana striker John Antwi has been lauded by his coach Talat Yousef following his goal scoring prowess in the Egyptian league.

Antwi on Saturday became the top foreign goalscorer in Egyptian football with 63 goals, after netting a hat-trick in Misr El Makasa's 4-3 win over Enppi.

The former Dreams FC striker surpasses the 61 goals scored for Egyptian teams by fellow Ghanaian Ernest Papa Arko who played for five Egyptian clubs including Zamalek.

And Misr El Makasa has heaped praise on the talented Ghanaian for the remarkable feat.

“Antwi is a deadly striker, very talented and he knows how to score goals. You all saw what he did in the game,” he said

“It was a crunch encounter but he won the game for us, it was a great show, the whole team also played well I am very convinced that Antwi will go far.”

Antwi is yet to make his full competitive international debut for Ghana.

He will be hoping to get a look in the national team following his recent fine goal scoring form.
