Ghanaian players abroad wrap: Grejohn Kyei scores winner against PSG, Gideon Mensah suffers relegation with AJ Auxerre

The French Ligue 1, LaLiga, Serie A and Belgium leagues all rounded up over the weekend with Ghanaian players featuring across all competitions.

Grejohn Kyei scored the winner for Clermont Foot against PSG while Gideon Mensah suffered Ligue 1 relegation with AJ Auxerre.

French Ligue 1

Gideon Mensah's AJ Auxerre were relegated as the Ghanaian played the 90 minutes in Saturday's defeat to RC Lens in the final day of the French Ligue 1. Salis Abdul Samed played the entire duration of the game for Lens in the 3-1 win.

Elisha Owusu was still missing for Auxerre due to injury after the January move and has still not made his Ligue 1 debut.

Alexander Djiku's Strasbourg avoided relegation as he warmed the bench in a 2-1 defeat at Lorient.

Grejohn Kyei scored the winner for Clermont Foot against PSG in a 3-2 victory. This was after he scored an initial disallowed opening goal and missed a penalty. Alidu Seidu also played the full 90 minutes for Clermont.

Serie A

Ibrahim Sulemana lasted 84 minutes as his Hellas Verona team lost 3-1 at AC Milan. Verona will engage in a relegation playoff to decide their fate.

Emmanuel Gyasi played 87 minutes in Spezia's 2-1 loss at AS Roma. Spezia will also be doing the relegation playoffs.

Cremonese won 2-0 against Salernitana in the final day of the season. Felix Afena-Gyan was an unused substitute.

Alfred Duncan lasted 58 minutes in Fiorentina's 3-1 win at Sassuolo.

LaLiga

Iddrisu Baba was a 77th minute substitute in Mallorca's 3-0 win against Rayo Vallecano in the final day of the season. Abdul Mumin played the entire duration for Vallecano.

Inaki Williams played the entire game in Athletic Club's 1-1 draw against Real Madrid in the final game of the season.

Joseph Aidoo missed Celta Vigo's 2-1 win against Barcelona due to a thigh injury.

Belgium Jupiler Pro League

Joseph Paintsil played the entire game in Genk's 2-2 draw against Royal Antwerp, with the later winning the Belgium league with a late equalizer.

Kamal Sowah was an unused substitute for Club Brugge in their 3-1 win at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, denying Royale the chance of winning the title.

Abu Francis did not feature for Cercle Brugge in their 2-0 win over Westerlo.
