Italian-born Ghanaian striker Davis Mensah scored in Mantova's 2-0 win against Giana Erminio on Wednesday.

The head-to-head record for the teams before the game was Mantova 3 win(s), Giana Erminio 2 win(s), and 2 draw(s).

Davis Mensah started the game and lasted the full 90 minutes at the Stadio Danilo Martelli.

Mantova broke the deadlock in the 14th minute with Fiori's header from a terrific position. The contest was severely broken in the first half due to multiple fouls committed by Giana Erminio players.

In the second half, the script did not change significantly. Mantova was constantly active in midfield. Brignani's header struck the crossbar in the 46th minute, followed by Giana's first chance, a long-range attempt that forced Festa to make an outstanding save.

Despite the alarm, Mantova remained together and continued to grind out the game using the flanks. Mensah scored the second goal in the 62nd minute, assisted by Galuppini.

Mantova will play AlbinoLeffe in their next league game.
