Ghanaian striker Yakubu Nassam Ibrahim scores brace for Hong Kong Rangers in defeat to Lee Man Warriors

Ghanaian striker Yakubu Nassam Ibrahim registered his name on the scoresheet twice for Hong Kong Rangers but it was not enough as his outfit succumbed to defeat in the Hong Kong FA Cup.

Nassam lasted the entire duration in his outfit 4-3 home defeat to Lee Man Warriors on Saturday afternoon.

In a spirited performance, Lee Man Warriors scored three goals in a space of nine minutes through Brazilian internationals Gil Martins and Paulinho Simionato.

Paulinho Simionato opened the scoring in the 17th minute from the penalty spot. Paulinho Simionato scored again in the 22nd minute to make it 2-0. Gil Martins doubled the advantage for the host four minutes later Japanese midfielder Yumemi Kanda scored from the penalty spot to make it 3-1.

Japanese international Yumemi Kanda had an opportunity to score from the penalty but his shot was saved in the 45th minute.

Jong-Bum Park scored at the wrong end to extend Lee Man's lead to 4-1. Yakubu Nassam Ibrahim scored twice in the 69th and 82nd minute.

The 26-year-old has scored ten goals and provided one assist in all competitions for Hong Kong Rangers this season.
