Spanish Segunda Division side CD Tenerife have signed English-born Ghanaian attacker Arvin Amoakoh Appiah from UD Almeria on transfer deadline day.

The 21-year-old joins the club a season long loan deal after successful negotiations and passing his medicals.

This will be Appiah's third experience in the Spanish second-tier, a category in which he has already competed with the Andalusian team and at CD Lugo.

He sealed his move to Tenerife in search of more playing time. Appiah has played a total of 67 games in Segunda Division matches since his arrival at Almeria from Nottingham Forest in September 2019.

He played seven games in the Copa Del Rey, scoring four goals and providing three assists.

He made 32 appearances for Almeria last season helping the club to secure promotion to the Spanish Primera La Liga.

Even though Appiah was born in Netherlands, he has represented English at the U16, U17, U18 and U19 levels.

He becomes the second Ghanaian player at Tenerife this season after Mohammed Dauda who also joined this summer from Belgian club RSC Anderlecht.
