Ghanaian youngster Daniel Agyei scored his ninth goal of the season in Burnley U-23's 2-2 away draw against West Brom in the English Premier League Cup at the Hednesford Town's Keys Park.

Burnley deservingly took the lead via Marley Blair beautifully curled shot in the 25th minute after a dominant display.

However, the Baggies levelled just minutes later through Rakeem Harper but it was the home side that struck again in the 65th minute through Daniel Meredith.

Agyei scored in the 76th minute of the game to ensure manager Steve Stone's U-23 side move up to third in Premier League Cup group and remain unbeaten in eight with a 2-2 draw against West Brom.

The 21-year-old played the full throttle of the game.

The highly-rated forward has made seven appearances and scored nine goals for the Burnley U-23 side this term.

He came through the ranks at AFC Wimbledon, scoring 35 goals for the club's u-21 team in the 2014–15 season to draw the attention of a host of top clubs, reportedly including WestHam, Chelsea and Fulham.

But he eventually signed for Burnley on a long-term contract and has since been a key contributor for the youth side.
