Ghanaian youngster Ernest Poku scores for Jong AZ against FC Groningen

Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Ernest Poku scored in Jong AZ Alkmaar's 4-1 defeat against FC Groningen in the Eerste Divisie. 

In the 14th minute, Kees Smit sent the ball to Ernest Poku on the left wing. The swift attacker began with an individual move. He dribbled past two opponents and fired into the far corner.

In the 22nd minute, Jong AZ was unlucky. Johan Hove scored at the far post from a flank cross, tying the game at one. Five minutes later, Groningen was assisted into the game.

The referee pointed to the spot after Jong AZ committed a handball, and Romano Postema converted the penalty, making the score 2-1.

After the break, Jong AZ searched for the equalizer and made many dangerous runs. But the other team scored the game's fourth goal. In the 61st minute, Postema found himself in Jong AZ's penalty area. He scored with style to make the score 3-1.

In the 70th minute, the Pride of the North did manage to score once again. Thomas van Bergen scored to make it 4-1.
