Ghanaian midfielder Isaac Cofie recorded his first goal of the season last night when Sivasspor visited Trabzonspor in a 2-1 defeat in matchday two of the Turkey Super Lig.
Cofie was introduced in the 54th minute for Nigeria international Okechukwu Azubuike to shore up the midfield after Sivasspor had conceded two goals.
Trabzonspor were awarded a penalty in the 14th minute which was expertly dispatched by Anastasios Bakasetas. Anthony Nwakeame then two minutes into the second half.
Isaac Cofie found the back of the net from a close range in the 70th minute after Max Gradel failed on two occasions to first convert from the spot kick and then hit the rebound.
Sivasspor are yet to record a win after two league matches. They sit 18th on the league table.
