Ghanaian youngster Jonah Osabutey shines on his first start for Royal Excel

Ghanaian striker Jonah Osabutey was handed his first start for Belgian side Royal Excel Muscuron as they defeated KAA Gent 2-1 on Sunday.

The 20-year-old, who is on loan from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen lasted for 73 minutes with a scintillating performance

Laurent Depoitre gave Gent an early lead in the 25th minute, however, Royal Muscuron rallied back to secure all three points.

Frank Boya scored the equaliser in the 34th minute before Joan Campins grabbed the winner in the 44th minute of the game.

Muscuron have won two and drawn one after three games and are languishing on 3rd on the league log.

Following his splendid display, he is likely to retain his place in the starting XI ahead of Sunday's clash against Standard Liege.
