Ghanaian youngster Joseph Amuzu joins Dutch side Helmond Sport on loan

In a promising move that sets to propel his budding career to new heights, Ghanaian prodigy Joseph Amuzu has secured a loan deal with Dutch club Helmond Sport.

Right-footed flank attacker Joseph Amuzu, 18, is the younger brother of Francis Amuzu, a winger for RSC Anderlecht.

Joseph Amuzu signed his first professional contract with KV Mechelen in May 2022.

Joseph Amuzu participated in 26 games for KV Mechelen U21 last year. This team competes in the Second National VFV B, which is similar to the Dutch Derde Divisie. He scored four goals during this. Additionally, he has played on the first team six times.

Technical Manager of Helmond Sport Jurgen Streppel stated that he was happy to add the talented Amuzu to the squad.

“We are pleased that we can add these two talented players to the selection as part of the collaboration with KV Mechelen. It is a win-win situation, it offers KV Mechelen the opportunity to quickly introduce these talents to professional football and we get a quality boost,” he said.

Joseph Amuzu is the son of former Accra Hearts of Oak and Ghana youth international Theophilus Amuzu popularly known as Star in football circles.
