Ghanaians should continue to support us and we will deliver - Medeama assistant coach Stephen Pius

In a display of determination, Medeama's assistant coach, Stephen Pius, emphasized the crucial role of support from Ghanaians following their dramatic victory.

The Ghanaian team secured a remarkable win against Nigerian contenders Remo Stars, prevailing 3-2 on penalties to secure a spot in the next stage of the fiercely contested CAF Champions League.

The home side beat Medeama 1-0 in regular time which ended up being 1-1 on aggregate. Penalties were used to separate the two sides.

Medeama scored three out of five and Remo Stars scored two out of five.

"The little I will say is that they should continue to support us the believe they have in us fine some might say Ghanaians it is been a long time since we got to this stage," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"Ghanaians and all supporters should have patience and use faith to back us and we will deliver for them,"

Medeama will play Guinea side Horoya in the next round of the competition.
