Ghanaians shouldn't be discouraged by Jimmy Cobblah's performance - Sellas Tetteh

Sellas Tetteh, ex-Black Satellites coach is urging Ghanaians not to lose hope in Jimmy Cobblah's team despite their abysmal performance ahead of 2019 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.

The Black Satellites are currently preparing towards the upcoming tournament slated for next month and have so far recorded poor results in their friendlies with latest against Niger, where they lost 2-0 in Niamey.

Despite the failure to register a win in their friendly games, Sellas Tetteh, who led the team to win 2019 Afcon and  FIFA World Cup, has backed the gaffer and urged the football fans in Ghana not to be discouraged.

"Ghanaians should not be discouraged by the results in the friendly games played by the Black Satellites".

"They can still achieve their target so the coach should concentrate and try to turn things around at the tournament. I believe the results will surely improve if they are determined to succeed", he told Atinka FM in an interview.

"I believe we have the talents to achieve our aim so all that they need from us is support,” he added.

Ghana has been paired with Mali, Senegal and Burkina Faso in Group B.
