The Black Satellites of Ghana have booked qualification to the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament following the win over Niger on Tuesday afternoon.

The Satellites locked horns with the Menas at the Stade de Gaules this afternoon for a clash in the semi-finals of the tournament being hosted in Benin.

Following a tough encounter between the two teams, neither side could score in the 90 minutes and had to head into extra-time.

With no goals in the 30 minutes, Ghana and Niger had to head to the shootout to decide who gets to play in the finals.

On the back of a show of confidence from the Black Satellites players, they have cruised to a 5-3 victory to secure a place in the finals of the tournament.

In addition, the Ghana U-20 team has qualified for the 2021 Africa U-20 Africa Cup of Nations tournament that will be hosted in Mauritania.
