Ghana's Eunice Beckmann wins Best Goal Award in Spain

Ghanaian striker Eunice Beckmann's goal was adjudged the best goal in 2018 in the Spanish top-flight (in the La Liga Iberdrola).

The 26-year-old, who had 6.9K of the votes edged out competition from four others- Ángela Sosa (At. Madrid Femenino), Bea Parra (R. Betis), Lucía García (Athletic) and Aitana (FC Barcelona).

The Madrid CFF star controlled a ball on the left flank before spinning on her right to unleash a wonderful strike.

Beckmann joined Madrid CFF this season and scored four goals in 15 matches.

She previously played for Bayern Munich in the Frauen-Bundesliga where she won two consecutive league titles in 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons respectively.

She also played for a Swedish team called Linköpings FC for 6month.

She had stints at Frauen Bundesliga clubs Bayer 04 Leverkusen, Boston Breakers (one season), FC Basel (1 1/2 years) and FCR 2001 Duisburg where she won the German Cup with them in 2009/10 season.

In August 2018, she transferred from FC Basel to Madrid CFF. Beckmann was born in Wuppertal to Ghanaian parents.
