Ghanaian international, Jonah Osabutey helped his Belgian side Royal Excel Mouscron to beat KAA Gent over the weekend after he was handed his first start for the side in the Jupiler Pro League.

The young striker is currently on loan from Bundesliga side Werder Bremen and earned his first start for the top-flight club. He lasted for 73 minutes and played a major part in their 2-1 win over Gent.

Following a slow start to the first half, Royal Mouscron went behind courtesy a strike from Laurent Depoitre on the 25th minute.

They, however, managed to fight back and scored twice through Frank Boya and Joan Campins on the 34th minute and 44th minute respectively.

Osabutey, 20, looked solid for his side and could be in the starting line for the side when they face Standard Liege in the coming weekend.

Royal Mouscron now sits 3rd on the Belgium Pro League table after three games. They have managed to win two and drawn one of those games but looks on course to challenge the big boys of the league.
