Ghanaian international Kwame Peprah is off the mark after scoring on his debut goal for Hapoel Hadera in their defeat against Sakhnin in the Israeli Toto Cup on Sunday.

Peprah started and lasted the entire duration as his outfit suffered a 2-1 defeat in the Round 3 fixture of the Cup competition.

Sakhnin shot into the lead through Israel international Basil Khuri, who found the back of the net after 20 minutes as they went to recess with a one goal advantage.

After the break, the home team uplifted their performance as they grab their second goal of the match through Saher Taji in the 53rd minute mark.

However, the former King Faisal attacker scored in the additional time of the game to reduce the deficit for Hadera.

Peprah recently signed a one-year contract with an option to extend after leaving South African side Orlando Pirates this summer.

Having enjoyed a remarkable season in the Ghana Premier League with King Faisal scoring 12 goals in the 2020/21 season, the forward joined the South African outfit on a three-year deal.

He began on a good note by scoring nine goals for his new club in his first season which also propelled the team to reach the finals of the CAF Confederations Cup as they narrowly lost to RS Berkane.

Peprah however experienced a tough season as he spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan at Maritzburg United.

He scored 9 goals in 44 appearances across all competitions for the Buccaneers.
