Mjallby secured a significant victory against Sirius in the Swedish League Cup on Saturday, March 4, 2023, thanks to a late-game heroics from Ghanaian forward, Mamudu Moro.
The 27-year-old forward's two goals in the second half helped Mjallby come from behind and clinch a 3-2 win over Sirius at the Strandvallen stadium.
The game started with an early goal from Tashreeq Matthews for Mjallby, but Patrick Nwadike equalized for Sirius before the end of the first half.
In the second half, Sirius took the lead through a goal from Chidi Dauda Omeje, but Mjallby was quick to respond with a goal from substitute Mamudu Moro.
Moro's first goal came just seven minutes after he replaced Viktor Gustafson in the 55th minute. He then completed his brace on the 74th minute with a stunning match-winning goal, securing all three points for Mjallby.
With this victory, Mjallby now leads the table with nine points, having won all their three games in the league cup.
