German-Ghanaian forward Richmond Tachie was instrumental for 1. FC Kaiserslautern in their victory in the German DFB Pokal on Tuesday, scoring to help them advance to the next round.

Kaiserslautern emerged triumphant with a 3-2 win over Bundesliga side FC Koln, securing their advancement in the competition.

In the 19th minute, the 24-year-old Tachie took charge, delivering the opening goal with a deflected shot from the edge of the box at the Fritz Walter Stadion. Shortly after the break, Spanish midfielder Kenny Redondo further solidified Kaiserslautern's lead with a goal.

Marlon Ritter, a German forward, played a crucial role, providing assists for the first two goals and scoring one himself in the 65th minute, making it 3-0 for Kaiserslautern.

Although Koln's Jan Thielman managed to pull one back, experienced forward Mark Uth scored again, reducing the deficit nine minutes from the final whistle, with the game ending 3-2.

Tachie's performance this season has been impressive, with three goals and three assists in 11 appearances across all competitions for Kaiserslautern.
