President of the Ghana Olympic Committee, Mr Ben Nunoo Mensah has sent words of inspiration to the National Under 23 team, the Black Meteors who are competing for one of the three places at the U23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to qualify for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games - Men’s Football slots.

Mr Nunoo Mensah said he believes in the technical men as well as the players chosen because they are the best at the moment and they have the quality to win all their matches.

He advised them to take every match serious as a cup final and be courageous and positive-minded.

He urged them not to be complacent, but to concentrate for the whole duration of the games.

“Ghana has not qualified for football at the Olympic Games since 2004 and I will be happy and proud that in my era we won bronze in boxing in Tokyo 2020 and we will do well again in Paris 2024 with football,” he said.

According to the GOC President if Football qualifies, there would be attention on the Olympic Team and hopes they make it.

Ghana have been housed in Group A alongside host country, Morocco, Congo and Guinea.
