Former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is on the verge of making a return to lead the Black Stars following reports that the current government of Ghana is calling for his comeback.

Appiah who now coaches Sudanese top-flight side Al Khartoum SC is overwhelming favourite to land the Black Stars job with support of government, ex players, fans, and part of the GFA.

The Ghanaian Football public have been calling for the return of Kwesi Appiah since the departure of Israeli Coach Avram Grant who failed to meet his task to win the Africa Cup of Nations with the Black Stars.

Appiah made history as the first Black Coach to qualify the Black Stars to a FIFA World Cup when he led to team to the competition in Brazil 2014.

Apart from the support from Ghanaians the government of the day are also bent on seeing a Ghanaian preferably Kwesi Appiah returning as the head coach of the team.
