GPL Match Week 2: Aduana Stars scores late to beat Great Olympics 1-0

A late strike from Nathan Kwesi Richard has handed Aduana Stars an important 1-0 win against Accra Great Olympics on Match Week 2 of the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season. 

The two top-flight clubs locked horns in an import fixture at the Accra Sports Stadium looking to amass all available three points.

Olympics who went into the encounter as the home team set up in a way to avoid defeat at all costs. Their efforts worked to perfection in the first half as they stopped the attacking prowess of the Ogya boys.

At the end of the first half, there were no goals from either side following a lack of potency in front of goal exhibited by both sets of attackers.

In the second half, Great Olympics came out strong and took control of the middle of the park, getting the opportunity to cause problems for the visitors in the process.

After failing to capitalize on their dominance, Aduana Stars manager W.O Tandoh made some changes that helped the side to get back into the match.

Late in the game, an equalizer from Nathan Kwesi Richard shot Aduana Stars into the lead which eventually earned the side all 3 points at the end of the match.
