Gremio coach Renato Gaucho has confirmed Barcelona are in talks to sign Arthur Melo.
Just a few days ago, the player posed in the shirt of Barca, accompanied by several people including Andre Cury, a representative for the Catalans in Brazil.
"Arthur is a player who won the title and has helped us a lot," Gaucho said to Globoesporte.
"He's been one of the best in our team and there's been a large amount of clubs after him, but that's normal.
"We're happy to know that we have a player that the Europeans are following, but is he is going to continue here... sincerely, that'll be very difficult."
Arthur won't play in the Club World Cup because of a sprained ankle, and will be out of action for around 45 days.
Should he sign for the Blaugrana in January, they will have to part with €50 million for his services.
