Hearts of Oak Executive Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV has expressed optimism about the club chances despite enduring a slow start to the Ghana Premier League campaign.

The Ghanaian powerhouse are just above the drop zone after amassing just four points from four games.

Hearts have won once, drawn once and lost twice amid a torrid start to the 2023-23 Ghana Premier League campaign.

At the club's 5th Annual General Meeting held at the Civil Servant’s Auditorium in Osu, Togbe Afede emphasized his outfit will recover to compete this season.

“Looking at the season we won the double with coach Samuel Boadu, we didn’t start the season properly; it was a very poor start for the club. But we later recovered and won the league, so I’m urging all to be patient; we will recover,” he said.

Hearts of Oak are away to Heart of Lions in the week 5 of the Ghana Premier League this weekend.
