Hearts of Oak secured a 1-0 victory over Nsoatreman FC at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday, September 24, marking a significant break in Maxwell Konadu's 13-year unbeaten record against the Phobians.

Maxwell Konadu, now managing Nsoatreman FC, had previously avoided defeat against Hearts of Oak throughout his coaching career in the Ghana Premier League, having managed Wa All Stars, Asante Kotoko, and Legon Cities.

The only goal of the match was scored by Congolese forward Kashala Ramos Wanet, giving Hearts of Oak their first victory of the ongoing league season. The match was characterized by determined defense and strategic play, resulting in a hard-fought win for the Phobians.

Konadu's last defeat against Hearts of Oak dates back to 2010 when his squad, Wa All Stars, lost 3-0 at the Accra Sports Stadium in the Ghana Premier League. This trend continued during his tenures at Asante Kotoko from July 2011 to June 2012 and from December 2019 to December 2020.

The pattern persisted during his tenure at Legon Cities FC between September 2021 and June 2023, where he navigated three encounters with Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League without a loss.
